WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY
Kids Takeover at L’Ecole de Battersea
This World Children’s Day, our young stars are speaking out, bringing a burst of positivity into our lives. UNICEF’s special day for kids, by kids, turned our school into a playground of dreams as our young pupils answered some big questions about being a child and how they’d make the world a better place.
We uphold the belief that every child’s voice is a powerful instrument for positive change. Our commitment lies in instilling confidence within our pupils, fostering an environment where they can freely articulate their concerns and aspirations. Recognising that the cultivation of their expressive abilities is foundational to nurturing a future generation of thoughtful and compassionate leaders, we are dedicated to shaping a world that embraces the diverse perspectives they bring.
What Is World Children’s Day?
World Children’s Day is a global celebration dedicated to children and their rights! Established by UNICEF, this day serves as a reminder that every child deserves a childhood filled with laughter, learning, and love. Celebrated annually on November 20, it marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a landmark international treaty that recognizes the rights and well-being of children around the world.
Why Do We Mark International Days?
International days and weeks are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity.
